meet Nicki
Co-founder, lead designer
Always drawn to design with a knack for the creative, Nicki’s first career chapter was in teaching. For five years she owned and directed a preschool and child care center before turning the page to teach first and third grade.
After moving to Charleston, she reinvented herself with the help of a new friend, Teresa, and the pair founded Embellish Interiors in 2011. Focusing on the lowcountry community, the young firm established itself among the Daniel Island community garnering a reputation for thorough, thoughtful approaches and delivering timeless designs with a twist.
Fast forward a few years, the good word had spread well beyond Charleston, and Embellish Interiors expanded to serve clients across the East Coast from down in Florida on up to Massachusetts.
Coming into its diamond year, Embellish Interiors honed in an aptitude for turn-key projects with a special focus on second homes, vacation rentals along with staging model homes for Maverick Construction.
Today, Nicki leads Embellish Interiors as the firm continues to enhance cohesive living by design and celebrate spaces, while ensuring clients enjoy the process and curate a relationship built on mutual trust and respect.
Known for designs that are as inviting as they are inspiring, Nicki is as much of a doer as she is a designer gravitating towards projects that let her wrap her arms around them from start to finish. For each and every client, her goal is to curate a cohesive space that is as comfortable and livable as it is beautiful. Essentially, crafting spaces that look like they’re somehow always ready for a soiree.
When she isn’t neck-deep in design, you may find Nicki walking her three furbabies around Daniel Island, enjoying an easy weekend away in Bluffton, visiting her oldest at college, or cheering her youngest on at either a basketball or lacrosse game.
